Airsoft of Alameda

Had a pretty good day of play at Fort Ord but did have a couple of issues.

#1.  When someone brings it to your attention that you just muzzle-swept them, apologize and make sure it is pointed either up or down away from people.  Don’t be like the idiot who swept me today, and when mentioned, immediately told me that he had done no such thing….while I am still looking down the barrel.  I have been shot in the face really close before and would prefer not to have that happen again.  It is not hard to be courteous, first you should practice good muzzle control, and second if a mistake has been made correct the problem and apologize.

#2.  WHEN YOU ARE ON THE FIELD WEAR YOUR EYE PROTECTION AT ALL TIME!!!  I saw several people at the spawn points taking eye-pro off…people: you only have two eyes, and they don’t grow back.  If you are so fogged that you can’t see ask a friend to lead you off the field.  Taking the time to properly maintain your equipment is well worth it.  I personally have a paintball mask I have used for Airsoft for several years, all it has needed is replacing the lens.  Check with your local airsoft store for replacement lenses, and if they don’t carry any check with your local paintball store.
